Considerations when looking to buy Audius.

Audius is a music streaming protocol that's decentralized. It was originally built on the POA network but now lives on Solana. Audius was created to address the inefficiencies in the music industry that is plagued with intransparent music rights ownership, intermediaries between artists and their audiences, and Audius was born.

Audius aims at aligning the interests of fans, artists and node operators via its platform powered with its native AUDIO token. Artists have the ability to upload music that can be stored and distributed by content discovery nodes. Fans can then listen to it for free. Audius currently rewards content creators with rewards such as inclusion in the weekly trendsing lists. Audius plans to add stablecoins to artists in order to offer paid content. Artist tokens will also be integrated to give fans access to exclusive content. This could allow them to cooperate with platforms such as Rally.

Audius is made up of four major participants: fans, artists, content nodes, discovery nodes, and fans.

Audius allows artists to publish content. It is free and they can stream music at 320kbps. This is comparable to Spotify and Google Play Music. Audius is not protected by copyright due to its decentralized nature. However, the protocol is developing an arbitration system that will not be forgotten by the community. Audius can be used by artists to share bonus tracks or experiment, and the platform plans include artist tokens for monetization. Artists must stake AUDIO. Artists can also participate in reward programs that will see tokens being airdropped to most famous artists.

Listen to tracks free of charge and you may be able stake AUDIO in the future to support artists' growth. You can also show your NFTs on the platform and earn badges.

The availability of content is maintained by the AudSP Content Nodes, a platform-native extension of IPFS. Artist's clients elect a set to automatically do this on their behalf. Fan clients fetch the content and submit proof to request keys to the nodes. Artists can also run their own content nodes to have greater control over the distribution of their content. The protocol's content ledger keeps track of all actions and provides a single source for truth.

The discovery nodes index metadata that users can query. In other words they allow users to search for new content and act as the registry of it on the platform.
